Un total de 12 colaboradores de la Universidad finalizaron el curso English Program for Autonoma’s Personnel, EPAP, que en esta oportunidad estuvo dirigido al personal administrativo de la Institución.

Este programa tiene como objetivo principal brindar a los colaboradores la oportunidad de iniciar o continuar su proceso de aprendizaje del idioma inglés, con el fin de fortalecer su competencia para ser aplicada tanto en su vida laboral como personal.

Jorge Luis Mosquera Olano y Giuliana Vanessa Quiroz Vidal, de la unidad del Servicio al Usuario; Diana Lorena Vela Guerrero y Piedad Patricia Muñoz Vargas, del Centro de Producción de Medios Audiovisuales; Ana Sulay Villaquirán Pino, de la coordinación de Prácticas Profesionales; Gladys Romero Guzmán, del departamento de Comunicaciones; Martha Liliana Sánchez, Adriana Córdoba Molina, Alexander Cabal Acosta y Diana Anyeli Perdomo, del Centro de Recursos para el Aprendizaje y la Investigación; Lorena Portilla Díaz de la facultad de Ciencias Administrativas, y Josué Levi Chilito Navia, del departamento de Registro Académico, conforman el grupo de colaboradores que se graduaron en esta primera promoción.

Este grupo cursó los niveles A1, A2 y B1, a través de espacios de aprendizaje significativo, que buscaban generar contextos reales de acuerdo a la labor y las necesidades de los participantes, permitiéndoles adquirir competencias conversacionales y gramaticales.

 El inglés es un idioma universal y es fundamental en el mercado laboral, tanto nacional como internacional. En lo personal me encanta y agradezco la oportunidad de ser parte de la apuesta del Campus Bilingüe de la UAO”, comenta Gladys Romero, del departamento de Comunicaciones.

Por su parte Adriana Córdoba, del Centro de Recursos para el Aprendizaje y la Investigación, manifiesta que:

participar en el programa EPAP fue una experiencia muy enriquecedora ya que quiero  potenciar mis capacidades profesionales, mejorar mi perfil, crecer,  estar cada vez mejor preparada y aplicar estos conocimientos en la UAO y donde Dios me lo permita. Además, quiero poder interactuar con personas de todo el mundo, viajar, conocer otras culturas  y poderme comunicar y aunque no terminamos el programa 100% bilingües ya contamos con una buena base para entender y hacernos entender, vencer el miedo y arriesgarme, para mí fue un gran reto”.

Actualmente, en la UAO se encuentran activos seis cursos, que abarcan los niveles A1, hasta el B1, y próximamente la Dirección de Gestión Humana y el Instituto de Idiomas convocaran nuevos grupos para iniciar y ser parte del programa.

La UAO celebra la graduación de este primer grupo, pues es parte vital hacia la consolidación de un Campus Bilingüe.

First Promotion of the English Program for Autonoma’s Personnel, EPAP Course

A total of 12 University employees completed the English Program for Autonoma’s Personnel, EPAP course, which this time was aimed for the administrative staff of the Institution.

The main objective of this program is to provide employees with the opportunity to start or continue their English language learning process, in order to strengthen their competence to be applied both in their work and personal life.

This group studied levels A1, A2 and B1, through significant learning spaces, which sought to generate real contexts according to the work and needs of the participants, allowing them to acquire conversational and grammatical skills.

English is a universal language and is fundamental in the labor market, both nationally and internationally. Personally, I love and appreciate the opportunity to be part of the proposal, UAO a Bilingual Campus,” says Gladys Romero, from the Communications department.

On the other hand, Adriana Córdoba, from the Learning and Research Resources Center, states that:

participating in the EPAP program was a very enriching experience since I want to strengthen my professional skills, improve my profile, grow, be better and better prepared and apply this knowledge in the UAO and where God allows me. In addition, I want to be able to interact with people from all over the world, travel, get to know other cultures and be able to communicate and although we are not 100% bilingual, we already have good bases to understand and make ourselves understood, overcome fear and take risks, for me it was a big challenge».

Currently, six courses are active in the UAO starting from level A1, up to B1, and soon the Human Management and the Languages Institute ​​will call for new groups to be opened and start being part of the program.

The UAO celebrates the graduation of this first group, as it is a vital part towards the consolidation of a Bilingual Campus.
